Floating Deck

This deck expansion incorporates hidden post bracing incorporated into the steps for a nice "floating" feel that also insures good water drainage off of the adjacent porch.  As part of this project, we also added a long, built-in bench , both for additional seating and to prevent falls off of the back of the deck.
